FAFU Mentorship Program
This program is a unique opportunity to have a SIGNIFICANT relationship with a 7th or 8th grader at the FAFU Primary School in the Kibera Slum. These young students are at a pivotal and defining moment in their lives as every 8th grader must pass a difficult national exam to enter into high school. They only get one chance, and your encouragement and support can make a big difference.
Your responsibilities as a FAFU Bilateral Mentor:
- Send a Pencil Box filled with much needed school supplies
- Skype with your student two times per year (January and June).
- Send a new (or used) T-shirt to your student. It might have your favorite slogan, or the logo of your favorite sport’s team, or simply be one of your favorites.
Your donation of $500 pays for school fees, test fees, 2 meals a day, and medical check-ups for an entire year.
