A Journey Rooted in Love - Help Brigid Stanley Volunteer in Kibera, Kenya!
From the time I was young, I have felt a deep calling not just to go through life, but to pour into it. That calling has been shaped by my faith and a lifelong belief that love is not just a feeling, but an action. It is something we choose, every day, for the people around us and for those we have yet to meet.
This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to volunteer in Kibera, Kenya, the largest slum in Africa, alongside an organization called Crossing Thresholds. Crossing Thresholds is dedicated to providing Kibera’s children with the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future.
But I can’t do this alone. I’m asking for your support in helping me raise $3,000 for my trip. Every dollar is a direct investment, not just in my journey, but in the lives of the people I’ll be serving alongside.
I won’t pretend I’m going to Kenya to save anyone. I’m going because I believe that when we show up for one another across every kind of distance, geographic, cultural, or otherwise, we are reminded of something essential: love matters more than anything else. It is the thread that connects us all, and it is worth crossing every threshold for.
If you feel moved to support, no amount is too small. If donating isn’t possible, your prayers and encouragement mean just as much. Thank you for believing in this mission with me.
With so much gratitude,
